What I’ve been up to…

Met Jeffrey Archer at an speaking event, really interesting to hear how he works on his books, basically he does 2 hours on 2 hours off between 6am and 10pm for about 4 months with the weekends off to write a book, plus a lot of the time he doesn't know what's going to happen himself until he's actually written it and he writes by hand.
I recently attended a residential Power of Persuasion course run by David Thomson, David is one of only 22 people in the world qualified to deliver Dr Robert Cialdini material, on the course we learnt the 6 Principles of Persuasion that come from his best selling book "Influence", while I was on the course I met Gregory Neidert, who is Cialdini's right hand man and one of the worlds top experts on influence.
Karen Brady really is a force to be reckoned with, she has a very no nonsense style about her, well worth seeing if you get chance and the big take away from her talk for me, was the importance of culture within any organisation, no matter what the size and it's something that I always seems to get lip service but very little attention
Deborah Mitchell asked me to speak at a Heaven Skincare event in Birmingham, I had a great time, what a fantastic group people and they all seemed to really enjoy my talk on how to double your clinics turnover with the power of small change, in the presentation "How To Sell Anything"
I met up with Dr John DeMartini at a recent London event, if you're not sure who he is, he's considered one of the world's leading authorities on human behavior and personal development. He is the founder of the Demartini Institute and I can highly recommend listening to him speak if you ever get chance.
Alexander was born on the 18th July and just two weeks later he attended his very first Mastermind business event with Nigel Botterill, must be the youngest ever Masterminder, and he was as good as gold.
Got to listen too and then had a chat with Michelle Mone founder of the Ultimo brand, she's absolutely lovely and I'd recommend buying her book, Michelle has a fantastic story and is really inspirational.
I met Richard Reed at one of the Innocent events and he agreed to an interview for my next book (eventually). Great guy and a fantastic culture at their HQ with some really funcky stuff, if you ever have chance to visit I can highly recommend it
I heard Gerald Ratner speak at an entrepreneurs event recently, really nice guy and is actually running another successful online jewellery business, he actually had some really bad advice about how to handle the fall out from his speech he gave, a really good example of what not to do.
